Glad you posted this. I didnt see the 360 video at first.

Mr robot did a few VR shorts for Oculus that were pretty cool.

Done right the VR stuff is awesome. Done poorly, it is terrible

If you have a galaxy phone you can pick up the gear VR sets pretty damn cheap.


Being the antisocial that I am, when I get stuck on a 2+hr flight in coach, I use my VR headset to watch movies. I look like a complete dork but, you know what? If you can't see the seat back three inches from your face, it isn't three inches from your face.

No... and nobody is saying that or predicting that. It doesn't have to outperform the #1 domestic movie of all-time to be a success. that's asinine.

My only point was there were a lot of naysayers on this thread for the last year+ and most have come around based on previews, interviews, advanced ticket sales, etc.

I STILL wish Disney would take some risks and tell stories NOT related in any way to the Skywalker saga, but I am a lot more positive on this movie yhan I was.

Remember Rogue One was considered a pretty big risk at the time. No one new if a spin off story for Star Wars that didn't have any of the main characters (for the most part) from the main films.

Aren't they planning on making some films now that have zero tie ins to the Skywalker saga?

I call this the Outdoors Board Effect. I used to post there years ago but just gave up on even reading it because of this phenomenon.

For example, if someone started a thread about installing a lift kit in their truck, within 10 posts min someone is going jump in and make sure everyone knows how stupid they are for wanting to lift their truck.

What purpose does this posting style serve? I really don't know. I guess it's the same reason that some people endlessly post opinions and useless information on Facebook, that adds no value and literally no one cares about.
