One thing I loved about rogue one that this movie seems to get is that it shows how horrible life under the republic would have been.
I never really got the impression in the OT of just how bad the day to day life would have been under the empire.

Noticed that the shot of the Falcon racing away from the planet had the old "notch nose" configuration just like we usually see the ship.

I STILL wish Disney would take some risks and tell stories NOT related in any way to the Skywalker saga, but I am a lot more positive on this movie yhan I was.
