Mike Elko and the Aggies have just secured the commitment of former Texas tight end Amari Niblack in a move to bolster the tight end rotation.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, Niblack is a product of Lakewood High School in Saint Petersburg, Florida, where he was an All-American, all-state honoree and a highly regarded recruit.

He started his college career at Alabama, where he played in 24 total games, tallying 21 catches, 342 yards and five touchdowns in two years before transferring to Austin.

This past year, Niblack appeared in seven games where he had five catches for 33 yards playing behind Gunnar Helm.

Niblack joins the Aggies with one year of eligibility left and provides another receiving threat at the tight end position for the Maroon & White.

Stay tuned. We will have more for our TexAgs Premium subscribers coming soon.
