Well the bad news is tonight was the results we didn't want. We didn't get a win (though it could have been worse). Canada is taking three, Panama came back again and took 6 this window, and all four are now within 2 points. We do still have a goal differential advantage over Panama and Mexico with a one point lead as well. But Canada now has a two goal differential advantage and a point on us if they hold this lead.
The other bad news is that Canada and Mexico have played one of the other top fours twice, and us and Panama still have all three left.
To close, Panama has at Mexico, at us and home to Canada as three of their last four, so they may move out in front of us short term before they hit that. Their final window is at US and then home to Canada, so that's what this is coming down to for all three of us. We close home to Panama and then at CR. If it comes down to that final game I might have a stroke before it's over. Our qualification without having to do intercontinental may well be that home Panama match. Mexico will find a way.
good news is that the top four are pretty clearly defined. We won't finish worse than fourth barring a meltdown. Our next window is home to El Salvador and Honduras, at Canada. Can really do some damage there and ease the worry.
