Not trying to convince you to change your mind, just thinking ahead a bit. If we do indeed wrap up a qualifying spot for the WC, he'll surely coach the team through that tournament. He's already amassed two trophies this past year and will have then accomplished something the last regime couldn't do. Barring a disastrous exit in group of the WC, he'll probably be remembered as a pretty successful manager. So then the question becomes how long do we keep him around? Another full WC cycle? National team managers have a pretty short shelf life overall, so it wouldn't be out of the question for him to be on his way out this time next year.

And if it does the entire paid staff at US Soccer from President to janitor needs to be fired. Every former player on the council should be removed and the charter torn up to rebuild the system from the ground up.

It would probably also depend on what managers would be available in the world that would be a direct upgrade.
