We desperately need to find a backup left back. Dest is good emergency but would feel better knowing that we have someone to back up Jedi without sacrificing the right back position.

Still hoping Scally gets integrated into the program to see what he can do during Nation's League.

Is it Violent Conduct? Yep. The refs including the 4th had their hands full keeping everyone from being stupid on the field. It would have taken VAR to intervene and show who kicked/threw it. My guess is either they had no video angle and couldn't see who it was or just wanted to let it go.

Nic Otamendi in the last WC not once but twice intentionally blasted a ball at the head of a down player after a whistle and never even got a yellow much less a red.

We need a striker more. I have no idea who should be our #9. No consistency in any of them right now.

Going into final round of games, still something for teams to play for. Canada is qualified and Mexico and USA are all but qualified. Costa Rica is assured top 4, so the 4 top places are set, only question is who finishes in what places and who has to go to Qatar for one game playoff against Oceania Champion (New Zealand or Solomon Islands). Canada, US and Mex still want to do well to earn a better seeding in Friday's WC draw.

Current Standings (all teams have played 13 games)
1. Canada--Q 28pts (+17)
2, USA. 25pts (+13)
3. Mexico 25 points (+7)
4. Costa Rica 22 Points (+3)
5. Panama--E 18 points
6. El Salvador--E 10 points
7. Jamaica--E 8 points
8. Honduras--E 4 points

Final Round of Games (all games begin at 8:05 pm CST on Wednesday)
Panama v. Canada (Panama City-Paramount+)
Jamaica v. Honduras (Kingston-Paramount+)
Mexico v. El Salvador (Mexico City-Paramount+, Univision)
Costa Rica v. US (San Jose--CBS Sports Network, Paramount+)

US still has a chance, with a Canada loss and a win at Costa Rica, to finish top of the table, would need to make up a 4 goal difference). Of course with a bad loss the US could still also finish 4th, but that would require Costa Rica to win by 6 goals.

So unless something cataclysmic happens it looks like we will have 3 auto qualifiers in Canada, USA and Mexico and Costa Rica will go to the playoff game against what will in all likelihood be New Zealand.

There's also a very remote possibility that if we win, mexico draws/loses, Netherlands lose/draw to Germany, and Portugal loses to North Macedonia. That we could be the last team in Pot A for the World Cup Group Stage draw on Friday.

It would be pretty sweet to go down and get our first win in qualfiying @Costa Rica, and win by 2-3 goals while doing it. All while Canada also loses.
Canada could stand to be knocked down a peg or two.

I think they're gonna get a rude awakening. They sat back and absorbed loads of pressure in the majority of their games and won the counter. It won't work as well against better teams than CONCACAF. We probably win in Canada if we could've have finished our chances. Better teams will.

Also it's a bit ingenious to say their an MLS team when 15 of their most recent 23 play in Europe, including a highly regarded young striker and arguably the best LWB in the world. 17 of the 23 Americans play in Europe for comparison.
