Insane that there are Eastern and Western walls keeping the cold funneling here -- it's almost 60 degrees in Albuquerque. 40's in Utah. Above freezing in Michigan and Ohio.

55 in Albuquerque, 11 in Clovis

For an E-W difference of just over 200 miles, that's crazy.

The perfect storm of below freezing temps for the last couple days before Christmas is causing the grocery stores to be extra shlt show.

it's not supposed to be iced over but still when it's 20 outside no one wants to be out buying Christmas groceries.

That's when you and your team execute your Ocean's 11 plan to rob HEB of all of its money plus the tip jar for the guy playing weird 80s hits on the sax every Saturday.

Wind and (especially) solar holding up better than Feb '21. Be glad this is a dry cold.

I'm just worried about the wind knocking power out, not the grid.

Houston is truly the laughing stock of the nation. No sleet snow or ice and the city is going to shut down due to cold temps. You can't even think about getting into the HEB in Fairfield right now

It's currently 15 with a wind chill of -3 in Ft Worth. Tickets to the Baylor vs Air Force game at TCU stadium should be readily available if anyone in the area is interested.

I've got my generator set and ready to go with 100 lbs of propane and 15 gallons of gas as a backup.

After last year, I made sure I could power my house through a sustained outage.

Don't forget a case of oil. Most require new oil every day.

I put a valve on the oil pan with a hose to make it easier to change.

Temps dropping and wind picking up in Kingwood. Lakes look to be as low as Marvin Agumagu when Sly visits the airport.

Bottlebrushes will definitely freeze. We had to cut ours off at the ground after Feb 21 but they did grow back.
