I swear you play this app more than I do agfan.

Biggest change is that you can listen to your music and play at the same time.

Just updated. Went to edit a name and I can't get the keyboard to go away.

Must exit and close app (thru multi tasking screen). Happened twice. Am I doing something wrong?



Edit: goes away if you hit enter. Might be nice if it goes away when you save.

That's exactly what it's supposed to do when you hit the save button.

It's working fine on my wife's. Did you make your name on the opening options menu, or the one from the game?

I'm guessing so. Drat. Fixed it in one place, but not the other.

Went ahead and paid for the app to gift it to them. Still have $22 that I have no idea how I will ever use in my account since I almost never pay for apps and buy all my music from Amazon.

This will be their first app to install on their own, so let's see if they can figure it out. I think I'll be getting a call shortly.

No. I was changing one of the opponents.

I hadn't tried to put my whole screen name in.

Hey PJF I'm looking back cause I thought it was mentioned earlier but can't find it. What version is iPad runnning compared to the iPhone? Like it says ver 1.0 but is that comparable to 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 on the iPhone?

iPad should be comparable to 1.0.2 or very close to it. From here on out, the two versions will be identical for future updates. I may make 1.1 the next version for both just so that I can have consistent numbering.

I've only seen it on an iPad 3 a handful of times, but it was enough to make me want to buy one. Really puts the tiny iPhone screen to shame.

That and I'm sure you expect it at this point.

One area I need to improve is Jay taking your punt when you are currently winning the hand. For instance, if Philip couldn't follow suit. In that case, Jay may not be smart enough to take the lead.

Fry just gave up the high 4 to hold 41 (4s trump)

I had 44 46 42, he had 40 41 43... He plays 40, then 43 to allow me to take the nickle anyway.

Ah. FYI. Big difference between <= and <

That's disappointing. It will work some of the time, but just not all of the time. Already fixed. Back to my laboratory.

Just got the IPad app, played a few games and I'm impressed!!

Nice job man!!


Notices thus far - complete user error but:

How about a Conformation on your bid/trumps! I have missed bid or miss called trumps a few times already.
I personally hate the wheel selector, possibly an option later for menu styles? But I'm sure that will just take getting used to.

AI:
seems great only one bonehead play thus far, holding on to the 5/5 too long when I had the win. Opponent had trumps, 4 bones in, opponent to the right lead low trump, I play my remaining high. Player left plays off, partner plays off. I win. I only have 5 off now and throw it, partner throws big 5, opponent right plays last trump for win...

Partner probably had a terrible hand and could have benefitted from a nello option. If he had a double, he would have played it first.

Oops. I read that wrong. Your partner was the fourth to play and didn't throw in count on a hand you were winning?

Not a big deal. Was just bringing attention to the play. Seemed rather odd IMO.

Overall the AI is doing GREAT!



As for the big 5 conundrum:
yea I had the win, partner was last to play. Held the Big 5 then it was pulled out for loss the next hand. Could only assume he was trying to catch a 5 off?

No, he isn't smart/dumb enough to do that yet. I'll take a look to tonight at his fourth move code. Usually the complaints about the 55 revolve around him playing it too quickly.

On the followme play, did the game last long enough to see if he had any other tiles he could have played? He isn't supposed to lead with a dangerous off unless he's forced to.

Grrrr. The whole point of 1.0.2 was to get music to work in the background and it looks like I totally failed. I have no idea what happened there. It was working fine on my phone, but now it doesn't. Good freakin lord.

First off great game! I just found it last night.

I ran into my first ai wtf moment

Trumps are 4's, Fry leads the double 3, I follow with 3-6, Phillip throws the double 4, then my patner throws the 4-5! Last to go and throws a trump where it's already beat, I'll post a screen grab tonight
