What hype? 10-6 was about right all along.

Texans started with some nice new additions but there were lots of question marks specifically with QB, WR, RB, and OL.

I just don't recall anyone picking this team to make a deep run.

Not sure how many picks the Texans have in this year's draft but I would be ok if ALL of them were used to draft OL.

Gotta get better there if we ever hope to truly make a run at it.

Savage also needs to get rid of the ball quicker. Did much better from the shotgun and playing fast. He sees the field better.

Wouldn't say every... really need to address the QB position in the draft. I'd say sign a free agent linemen and then first and second round picks go to QB and OL.... then get a safety.

Rest the defense, but Savage et al need as much time as possible to continue to gel on O. The Titans however are dirty as hell, so maybe we do rest then

Elway is genius for getting outbid for Brock and now his team is missing the playoffs? If anything, Karma caught up with Elway after all his crap around the Brock ordeal

You obviously missed the sarcasm. Remember everybody saying that Elway was a genius for letting Brock go (forgetting he offered similar money)? Well, they're out of the playoffs and Houston is in. Whether people admit it or not, Brock did help the team win.

it is embarrassing either way to go from the Super Bowl to completing whiffing on the playoffs. Elway and the Broncos also had major issues at RB, TE, and o-line throughout the season

I don't think 8-7 is that embarrassing considering they had to find a QB from the bargain bin.

The Panthers are the team that should be embarrassed.

I think it was pretty obvious that last year was "go for broke" for the Broncos. It worked. This year's collapse was inevitable for them. But who am I to judge them. Paying Osweiler wouldn't have gotten them in and they're not stuck paying a large chunk of cash to someone who will be spending the playoffs on the sideline.

They traded up on the first round to take a QB that couldn't beat out that QB from the bargain bin.

with the division clinched...this is a good time to check in with Hopkins and his numbers:

2016 ---> 71 catches for 831 yards and 4 TD's (on 139 targets)

2015 ----> 111 receptions for 1,521 yards and 11 TD's (on 192 targets)

45% drop in receiving yards with 1 game to go.

you know there was some Houston sportstalk radio guy back in the summertime that suggested it would be better for Hop (and his next contract) to just sit out the 2016 season. It appears he was right

Why would he sit out? He is not a free agent until 2018. He makes about $2.5 mill this year and $8 mill next year?
