We're 21st in average kickoff return allowed at 22.3.

Now that yall finished your nerd fight about our defense, someone go find a stat that describes our cruddy kickoff coverage. Every time we score I celebrate and then immediately feel a sense of dread because I know we have to kick off. Seems like there is always a really good chance the other team could immediately answer our score. We must have the worst kickoff coverage team in the NFL or somewhere close to the bottom...

Reports out that Andre Johnson is retiring today.
A little strange that the two best skill position players in Texans history both hang it up mid-season the same year.

Look for the Texans to try and do something for Dre before the end of the season. Lots of moving parts though.

just stopped by to say, this is one of the worst 5-3 teams i've ever seen.

@ Tennessee - W
Puts them at 10-6 (9-7 at worst) and hosting a playoff game in which we probably lose. Although as good as they've been at home they may win. Who knows?
9-7. Win the division.CFTXAG10 said:
The combined record for teams we have lost to is 18-5 (New England, Denver, Minnesota). The only team we have beat that currently has a winning record is Kansas City (5-2). On one hand you can say the losses aren't that bad, and on the other you can argue the wins aren't that impressive.
Since we are at the halfway point and have a bye this coming weekend lets have a little fun. Predict the second half of our schedule and overall team record.

10-6 and another AFC South title. Likely to host KC, Oakland or possibly Buffalo in the first round.CFTXAG10 said:

good day for the Texans. The Chargers beat the Titans.
Texans 5-3
Titans 4-5
Colts 4-5
Jaguars 2-6
and with the struggles of all the teams in the AFC North, the Texans could be the #3 overall seed
Hopefully BOB is ripping him a new one for that in the film session this week. He came so close to undoing that amazing play. With the way we were moving the ball that one penalty could have lost us the game.aTm2004 said:
Dude needs to cool it a bit, IMO. After he got a critical first down, he signaled for the first, and then got in the ear of the defender that just leveled him. You saw the ref in his ear chewing him out. He easily could have gotten a taunting penalty. It's OK to be fired up and show passion, but you also need to have situational awareness and know when to dial it back.
Other than that, he had a great game and really helped secure the W.
