He didn't practice Monday because he could barely walk.. he was limping after the Pats game and his back swelled on him. The more info get, the worse it sounds..

The bigger question now is if he has to have another surgery or not.. Hoping not..

I will second guess and get crap but I just don't like the doctor's the Texans use. Was his back really ready when the doctors released him?

To be honest, and JJ is great, but he looks awful on the film and really not helping the defense. Better to get a healthy body in there.

Best decision you can make right now is shut him down. He didn't look close to what he has been so far this year.

Cause he hurt it late in July.. hurt it and had surgery two days later

He was busy with commercials, being a fireman for the day, etc. Once he got back to football it was time to go under the knife.

The original injury was late lastseason and did heal in the early offseason. Then he reaggrevated it and went surgery the second time.

i would shut him down for the season. Give him a 8-10 months to heal.. Tomorrow morning a final decision will be made.

I won't mind seeing it about 9 times this year, just as long as the personal fouls are limited. He was good for at least one a game his last time around

At least all the bad news is happening at one time. It would have been worse if we had reeled off a couple of wins against cruddy AFC South teams, gained confidence back AND then have JJ go down.

Not really a good week for Texans coaches and training staff. Hopefully they are getting ready for Mariota. They have never really faced him before and I have a bad feeling about this week. I have visions of him leaking out of the pocket for huge runs while our players run into one another...(the koolaid officially wore off)
