Amost done with my s2 rewatch...a lot better on my second viewing, actually. Blackwater may be one of the greatest hours of television I've ever watched
I really enjoy the books and love the series but come onnnn... I can think of numerous hours and half hours of television better than Blackwater.

If you GIS "Arstan Whitebeard" you get set pics of Selmy on set. Looks like the actor basically starting growing his beard a week before shooting. Soooo I'm guessing they don't try to make it a mystery like it was in the book (which is admittedly a much easier route to take with a general audience that will have to be reminded who the eff Barristan Selmy is anyway).

Tyrion is first described as one green eyes one black eye, behind a single strand of blond (almost silver hair). If that eye is purple, it may appear black in the dark smokey hall of winterfell.
Also, mention of a singer playing the high harp and reciting a ballad... Mance.
Jon sees through people for what they really are. Cersei, joff, Robert, theon. When he sees Jaime he remarks that is what a king should look like (and be: a warrior)

Kings guard against kings guard, real dragons against real dragons. After the war the targaryen family accepted the practice that a female Targ could only ascend if there are zero male Targs. SO, according to Targ law Varys' boy is more worthy than Dany. But he doesn't have dragons. Dany will take what is hers, but what is the point if she is barren? She may marry a westorosi lord(ling) to gain an army but her family line rests in Varys' prince. At first I was thinking she would kill him, but they truly are the last Targs and the last of valyria

I was watching the old Avatar cartoon series the other day and something struck me - Jamie = Zuko. He started off bad, now he's on his redemptive quest (there are more similarities but that's the easy one). And it really wouldn't surprise me to see him sit the iron throne when all the dust settles. I'm pretty sure it won't be any of our primary characters (Dany, Stannis, etc).

I could see this, and I would love for this to happen. Jaime and Theon are my two favorite characters in the whole series, and are the best written imo
I have a feeling all of arya's names die before she ever gets out of Bravos.
Yeah, sometimes I wonder what the point of Arya's training in Braavos really is. She could be the most powerful killer in the whole series when her training is complete, but to what end? The people on her prayer list will all be dead by then.
