Beltran was talking and laughing about it on the postgame set with Papi. It was widely known pretty quickly after Gm 7 ended.
Maybe Yu being linked to the Astros yesterday was leaked by his people because he doesn't want to face us anymore. What better way to ensure that than signing with us.

Or maybe the Astros leaked the tipping pitches story because we're about to sign Yu and wanted to reassure fans that he's a better pitcher than the one we crushed in the WS.
I also recall a story of Maybin telling Devo how he was tipping. As a sidenote, I think it would be good practice for us to claim someone off waivers from a division opponent every August for this reason.

They finished 23 games back, 6 under .500 tied for 3rd (AKA tied for 4th). They were out of it in May.
They hemmed and hawed at the trade deadline and finally traded the #1 away as a rental. They banked heavily on getting him back along with an unproven Japanese pitcher. And they missed on one and look to have missed on the other. Right now they have no starting pitching. Doug freaking Fister is basically their #2 SP.
Their hitters strike out like crazy and 3 returning everyday players were Mendoza line candidates. Odor was horrific and they are paying him a ton of money to be horrific. Their only bonafide hitter in Beltre is getting older and grayer by the minute. When he goes downhill it's going to be a fast uncontrolled ride down the slope.
Oh yeah. Their in state rival who put them 23 games back won the WS with a roster that is young, talented at every spot, and all together for another 2 years.
Yeah. They are ****ed. The inconvenience to their fans this year will be monumental.
Good thing they traded for our AA team.
I would love to see the Rangers have to execute their own tank job for several season. Of course, I hope they screw up the rebuild though.
