Has any Japanese player lived up to the hype?
Yeah there have been pretty solid players but $20MM just to negotiate?

I think one of these guys has to go to the bullpen and the guys with the best "bullpen stuff" would be LMJ or Peacock. I guess Morton could succeed there as well but I'm excited to see him in the rotation all year next year.MosesHallRAB04 said:
The rotation will be very interesting to see how it shakes out. Kuechel, verlander, LMJ, Morton and McHugh is really salty. You've also got Martes, Musgrove and Peacock who can all start as well. We know musgrove and peacock can be in the pen. Maybe Martes improves there. If he can pitch like this last year Peacock can close.
I'm against Davis. Too much money for not enough upgrade. Get at least one lefty who's not just a specialist. The rookie Baiskauskis (no idea how to spell it) might not be too far off along with Whitley.
Not if the effin' Dodgers are still in the mix.BMX Bandit said:
very odd Yankees aren't in the mix. He afraid of the big stage?
So we can infer by that comment that the Rangers are a small market team and the Astros are not.BMX Bandit said:
dodgers don't appear to be in the mix. And Rangers aren't on the west coast.
Heyman reporting Team Ohtani telling people they prefer a smaller market

I think he doesn't quite understand what it takes to be a successful MLB hitter (or pitcher). Or the people in his camp don't.
There's only so many hours in a day. Don't half ass two things... whole ass one thing. If he tries to be both full time he won't fulfill his potential in either.
