Both LeClerc and Sainz wanted to try to slow down Russell OR speed up Perez to allow Perez to finish ahead of Russell. It was their only shot at the end to give them the margin over Mercedes in Constructors championship.

LeClerc Should have done what Checo did to Hamilton in 2021 here. I think Ferrari would have gotten 2nd in constructors.
He could have done it too and I thought he would but just didn't back off slow enough soon enough.

If they wanted to backup Russell they probably should have tried a lap earlier and also let Perez pass with drs enabled instead of at the turn before the detection spot

Agreed but the math shows it would have worked. Thought they would have done it sooner but it is Ferrari and their strategy is suspect at crucial times. I think this was Leclerc's idea but was too late once he realized the point situation.

You must have watched the F1 Kids broadcast. The normal broadcast was on another channel.

Yeah, I just finished watching the race on YouTube tv dvr, and it took me several minutes to find the regular broadcast recording. Similar to the Aggie game yesterday, the command center broadcast was the default for our game. But since I was watching it live, I just went to the guide to get the regular broadcast.

Live or not, just go to your YTTV library, find the event, and if it's on multiple channels a Choose Broadcast option is available and will show the channels.

Crazy how much Max dominated this year. Looking forward to next season. Maybe everyone else can improve. I'll miss it til March. Haven't decided what race to attend next year, if any.

There's a young driver test tomorrow. It is usually your best chance eto get a look at how some guys would fair if given the chance. Usually it's not one to one to the race weekend as Pirelli does tire testing (and during the day) but it's fairly representative.
