Last year the buses from downtown worked pretty well. A decent line the first day to pickup wristbands (would recommend getting there early to pickup wristbands, even if you're not getting on the bus until later). I heard that the line for the return bus after the actual race was a little bit of a CF, but we got to the bus line right as the race was ending so got on a bus before the huge crowds could get there.

US driver Ugo Ugochukwu is doing the F3 test in Jerez this week. He got signed by Zak Brown for the McLaren development program a year ago I believe. Currently in Italian F4 (he's good but he's had some stinker races).

McLaren doesn't have a lot of development drivers like Red Bull so seeing that they could potentially follow that RB path of getting their junior drivers from Formula 4 to skip Formula Regional and go straight to FIA F3 came a bit shocking to me. Hope Ugo does FRMEC in the winter before the F3 season starts.

Looks like they have made some slight alterations to Qatar track due to tire issues. Drivers get a short 10 minute FP session before Sprint Shootout.

That shootout sucked. Bring in gravel traps or grass instead of track limits, so stupid to watch. Or just let them race on the whole tarmac. Fastest around wins, who cares about lines on the track.

Lap by lap comparison shows Logan can match Albon. Logan struggles with windy tracks and tire degradation which comes with experience.

This Qatar sprint was nuts. The softs just couldn't hold up.

And question: was Ferrari using softs at the end of the sprint so they could save the mediums, which are obviously better at this track, or were they using sifts because they gambled and it didn't work?

Not sure how many tires each group has left, but the way Lando got from ~6 to podium in about four turns around lap 17 while on mediums was incredible.

Pirelli raised a red flag yesterday with one of the turns because their data were revealing excessive tire integrity degradation. As a result, the turn boundaries were re-done and the limitations were put in place for the race.
