This game was the epitome of been their done that veterans versus the Rangers not ready for the big time.
Just watch Garcia's home run and Altuve's back to back. One of these teams expects to win because that's what they do.

The Astros have been here MANY times and know what to do to come back and win a series. Lack of experience in the post season is why the rangers will crash and burn from here on out.

I think the most amusing thing in this thread is a poster named League City Ag is waving the flag for Dallas

Anyone know what channel the Astros Wild Card game is on I can't seem to locate it.
I was assured the Astros would be at home watching the Rangers in the playoffs and it turns out that's what happened.
Good call - this is a fun bump.Farmer1906 said:Grapesoda2525 said:
Yes…. You guys were missing Yordan, but you guys also got lucky that Duran was going thru his first slump of the year. He's been hitting the cover off the ball all season, but he didn't get any hits in this series. That won't happen again in the next 2 series with you guys.
Your only reliable pitcher is an obese lard who hurt his ankle on the steps of the dugout. Javier looks really shaky and nobody else is really a stud or reasonably reliable in any way. You guys also don't have the farm assets that other teams want to acquire the kind of help you need.
We have 2 terrible opponents before the all star break to take out our frustrations from this series on. We'll still be in first when the all star break gets here. We'll regroup and be just fine. You guys got us this time, but we'll be back and we'll see what happens in the second half.
The amount of wishful thinking and hoping in this warms my heart.
I'm going to quote it now for fun bumps later on.
LOL at all 3 of y'all. We'll be hanging a banner alright. Enjoy your new division champs banner I guess.Prosperdick said:They aren't hanging that banner but I do expect a "4 starters in the All-Star game" banner prominently displayed in their horse barn of a stadium.BadAggie said:Dies Irae said:
At the end of the season I predict the Astros will be hoisting another pennant above Minute Maid, and the Rangers fan will be running greater metropolitan population and 1936 world fair smack.
Lol, hang the banner

Why even have Rangers players? Might as well just Photoshop Quinn Ewers in there.

In the end you will get a season of moral victories:
- Lead the Division through August
- Will finish third this year(thanks to key off and mid season moves)
- Six All-Stars
*Totally OWNED that 5 year old on bumper cars.

Gunna be the best 1-2 punch in the postseason. Then Javier is the best #3 in baseball. The duo of best rookies in France & Brown. What insane depth for a team that lost 3 starters.

Ranger fans are excited, they should be, best start in a long time. Astros fans are frustrated, they should be, 6 years of running the AL spoils you. Success and excitement for the Rangers is 2 games better than frustration and disappointment for the Astros.
It's actually kind of cute to watch Ranger fans, like watching a 5 year old riding without the training wheels for the first time, knowing a fall is coming, but just watching them enjoy the moment while they have it.
