The bullpen and specifically left handed late help is my concern. But man what a stacked lineup and frontline pitching staff. Going to be fun.

That same point also highlights the one concern on our roster, the bullpen. Our relief ERA this spring has been 4.11. Thats rough considering that most of those innings are pitching to minor leaguers or mendoza-liners.
Reliever innings are tricky in ST. I'd bet that most of those innings were pitched by AAA guys that won't be on the roster.
With the starters not going very deep the BP has to eat a lot of innings. Plus the studs don't pitch on back to back days. For example the relievers with the most IP so far are Paulino, Armenteros, McCurry, Hoyt, Thornton, Sipp, and Hauschild. Devo is next at 7 IP.
It is ST so all numbers should be taken with a grain of salt but for the most part the starters are the starters. The guys coming on in relief are a hodgepodge. Take those numbers with a block of salt.

Morton is trying to double our starters' ERA today.
I remember going to watch the stros play the indians in an exhibition game at MMP maybe 7 or 8 years ago? Might've been all of 10,000 people there tops. We sat right behind vistors dugout and paid about $15 per seat. my how the times have changed.
Sipp makes the roster... somehow.
Still the most obvious whole on the team. I hope we don't hang a bunch of loses on him and Giles. I'm hoping for a bounce back but neither showed any indication in spring. Hopefully if they continue to stink we are quick and aggressive to address both positions. Some teams will already be out of it by mid May.....

Am I missing something on Giles in the Spring, he had a 1.59 era last I checked.
I hadn't seen any spring stats just didn't look sharp the few times I saw him.

That's fair, I was just looking around the other day and had seen, at least era, had performed well. I believe in the Spring a lot of these guys are trying a lot of new stuff.
I feel like Giles always looks a bit iffy, but he normally ends up getting the job done

That's essentially 5 outings for him. If he gives up that line every 5 outings I'm pleased.

That's 4.2 IP in ST against who knows what level and give a **** factor. I want to see him in high stress situations. Until then I'm reserving judgement.
