Welcome to Lone Star Lookback! Each week, a former player or coach will join David Nuño to reminisce on Texas A&M's historic rivalry with the Texas Longhorns as the game makes an emphatic return on Nov. 30 at Kyle Field.

On Episode 11 of the Lone Star Lookback series, former Texas A&M quarterback Bucky Richardson helped the Maroon & White beat the Texas Longhorns in three of his four tries, including a memorable relief appearance to clinch the 1987 Southwest Conference title. Earning All-SWC acclaim en route to cementing his status as an Aggie legend, Richardson finished 10th in the voting for the 1991 Heisman Trophy before the Houston Oilers selected him in the eighth round of the 1992 NFL Draft.

Great to see Bucky again.
Many great memories of him and A&M football.
I'll never forget the BYU Holiday bowl game where the Ags just tore BYU a new one

Great interview.

Looking at those career passing stats show how much the game has changed. Barely over 100 yards a game his senior year and yet he was still an NFL quarterback and of course kickoff coverage guy because he was just a bad ass football player.
