Being able to look at a player from another team and say they are better than yours isn't dogging our team. It's being an intelligent level headed fan. There's nothing worse than a homer who can't admit that someone else is better than their guy.

I've got no issue with that top 10 list. Did someone really say Springer plays mediocre to poor defense? The **** you watching?

I can understand for a break in play from the dugout as a visit, but another position player. That's messed up.

As someone who thinks there are way too many rules a lot of times and think it waters down the game (especially the nfl)...

I'm actually okay with this. I love McCann, but making 74 mound visits a game and going to check on your pitcher every time he falls into a 2-0 count was getting border line insane. (Yes we won a title so who cares)

I'm sure there might be better solutions to address this in the future and some tweaking that needs to occur to the rule, but for the present time in general I'm okay with this.

And for the record I don't care about speeding up the game as that doesn't bother me. It just feels like we are getting to a point especially in the late innings where mound visits are becoming overkill and pitchers can't get into any trouble whatsoever without somebody having to go console them or discuss mechanics

I disagree. If you can't communicate with signs you risk the consequences. They had to put a stop to the catcher going out after almost every pitch like we saw throughout the playoffs.

I'm good with it. And I don't think McCann was too bad at this. He's far from the worst.

I'm interested if it will actually work. I mean how hard is it to fake a "cross up" and get an ump approved mound visit?

That's the worst part about mound visits. I get it for discussing strategy between batters but if you get crossed up and can't get your ish together then you should pay the price. I hate letting pitchers off the hook because they get crossed up.

What is the penalty if the catcher visits the mound anyway when they have exhausted all of the visits already?
