I'm actually okay with this. I love McCann, but making 74 mound visits a game and going to check on your pitcher every time he falls into a 2-0 count was getting border line insane. (Yes we won a title so who cares)
I'm sure there might be better solutions to address this in the future and some tweaking that needs to occur to the rule, but for the present time in general I'm okay with this.
And for the record I don't care about speeding up the game as that doesn't bother me. It just feels like we are getting to a point especially in the late innings where mound visits are becoming overkill and pitchers can't get into any trouble whatsoever without somebody having to go console them or discuss mechanics
