Pop was NEVER playing for the #1 seed, IMO.

He just wanted SA to not lose the winnable games like the ones we let slip against NOP, nYk, DET, etc. last year that put us behind the 8 ball with a low seed. Not going to press super hard to run down GS, especially if doing so means you tip your hand in how to beat them (if we have anything to spring on GS along those lines).
