I just don't like Kyle Anderson for some reason, his style of ball doesn't seem to mesh with the rest of the team and he doesn't seem to hustle. Simmons always plays hard whenever he's in the game and plays good defense, but Anderson not so much IMO

Anderson has a much better chance of mattering to this team than Simmons.
Simmons gets by purely on athleticism. Anderson is smart, and he's only going to get better as he learns when to be selfish.
Don't get me wrong, I think the world of Simmons. He's a fighter, and he doesn't quit, but someday he is going to need to learn how to beat someone some other way than out jumping them.
Is anybody watching this chin balancer halftime show on league pass?

Simmons defense has been bad lately. It's why he isn't getting more PT. Kyle does play sneaky defense.

Strange observation. Kyle actually plays very sound defense. He plays the scheme and often will allow his man to drive on him. However, he's always forcing him to help and then using his length to cut off outlet passes. This is something Simmons is still learning.
Simmons is excellent in transition. But give him the ball to try and create in the half court, and he is more likely to turn the ball over than Anderson. He's made big strides this season but I don't think he can compete consistently against top level guys. Anderson is the better all around player by a mile. I would love for him to log some more meaningful minutes this year. He has the length to bother teams on defense, most namely, Golden State.

1) Kyle Anderson has potential, but both him and Simmons appear reckless. I sort of hold my breath every time I see Anderson make a dribble and juke move. Half the time the ball is up above his waist and lucky to hang onto the ball.
2) I don't like the way they use Aldridge. Is he just a decoy half the time? I know we aren't this power low-post team like the late 90s/early 2000s, but the dude is pretty big. He starts at the top of the key and seems to be just trying to get areas to vacate on the perimeter. I realize that is a a strategy, but I'm not sure the right one to beat GSW.

None of the five listed have money guaranteed after this season. Kevin Martin is a SG/PG; Miller is a PG.
Looking purely at minutes and contribution on the court, you'd say Bonner/McCallum. Looking purely at the position of the new guys, you'd say McCallum/Simmons. Butler and Marjanovic seem the safest of the guys on that list. Butler because he's a guy Pop would play in the playoffs (and both the rumored prospects are guards). Marjanovic because he was always a project, so I doubt that they intend to make a decision on his future until after the season is over (and both the rumored prospects are guards).
Oh, scary thought. Manu has decided to call it quits because he doesn't think he can get back in game shape after surgery in time for the playoffs, so the Spurs are trying to find a vet to run the second unit.
My guess is Bonner/McCallum (unless Manu is done). Bonner with a good chance to get some run with the organization as an assistant coach or announcer.
Simmons is still getting better. Really rough night against Utah, but in general he has gotten better as the season has gone on. If they stick with him, they'll get 3-5 years of solid bench play at a nice value. Everyone else has more of a role.

It's buried somewhere in this thread, but like I said before, the Spurs have seemed to pickup a lot of road fans. It's kind of nice to see.
And yes, I know Houston really isn't the road. It just seems like the East coast is big for them now and a lot of other venues outside of OKC, GS, etc.
Didn't catch the end but Twitter says there was a healthy Go Spurs Go at the end of the game.
Saw lotta Spurs fans in Brooklyn last season.
