It's going to get snapped by GS because Pop is going to rest everybody so it really doesn't matter.
quote:nah. Spurs win comfortably, after Pop rips them for not respecting an opponent in the 1st half. Disappointing they need that lesson at this point though.
I swear if our home streak is snapped by the ****ing pelicans

I don't think the Spurs are playing poorly, it's just that the Pelicans are playing better than expected.

I really like Green and am pulling for him, but his performance is the one thing keeping this team from reaching its potential. Like Guitarsoup posted, he is the one player on the Spurs that has a measurable negative impact this season. That isn't good. He gets many more open looks in high percentage spots on the Spurs than he would elsewhere so using league averages is a bit misleading. Plus he got that big contract to be a 3 and D player and right now the 3 part is missing.
The good news is that he has shown sustained shooting success in the past so I still believe he can get hot in the playoffs.

The Spurs already have the best home winning streak to start a season. They really don't have anything else to prove but I'm not sure Pop completely tanks both games against GS. Another win against them could be big for confidence. We have a couple of key guys that have never been this close to a championship before and it is still going to be tough to get through the playoffs.

We will go down at home too to GS. Pop DGAF.

quote:Seems crazy to think this when the team just set a franchise record for wins, but I tend to agree with you. I think the Spurs and Warriors records are partially a product of overall crappier competition top to bottom in the league.
Is it me or does it seem like our play has fallen off lately? Doesn't seem like we are where we need to be right now. Maybe it's because we are locked in to the second spot and aren't playing with any urgency. But I'm not as confident going into the playoffs in two weeks as I'd like to be.
