Can you imagine watching a game with that screaming lady. Hard enough just hearing her from my living room.

This is just so perfect:

Leonard summed it up as only he can afterward when asked if it was the biggest win of the season.

"No, not really," he said. "I mean, it's an Eastern Conference team."

Sager: There's a chance the Spurs will only have one All-Star: Kawhi.
Parker: I don't care about that. I only want to win championships.

I love the Spurs mentality of not caring about all star games, though I would still like them to be honored as such for people outside of SA fans who don't see them play much.

They'll see them play in the Western Conf. finals and the NBA championship!.

Good write-up. Everyone with a pulse knew Love couldn't defend well and I'd be perfectly happy if they continue to abuse those matchups if we make it to the finals with them.

The Spurs will exhaust the Cavs over the course of a 7 game series. You could even see it happening last night.

kingjames Don't know how many times we got left to go against one another but I've never have and I never will take them for granted! The consistency you've shown over the years goes unmatched and as a competitor it's always a treat to be competing on the same floor as you! Being a professional(professionalism) is so overlooked in our sport but I always knew who I could look to if I ever wasn't professional about this lovely game and that's You. From one King to Another and to the Greatest PF to Ever play this game, all Love and Respect Timmy D!

By the way, since we played on TNT last night I was glad we got Chris Webber instead of Reggie. Chris actually brings some interesting analysis to the game and seems to have no agenda. He likes good basketball and calls it that way. In short, he doesn't distract from the game and adds something useful on occasion. It is difficult for me to watch a game that Reggie calls.

So, I slapped together a couple scatter plots in Open Office. This is games played vs minutes per game. The Spurs are graphed vs the Warriors in the first graph and the Thunder in the second.

What I see here is that the Spurs have a big clump of 9 players that actually show an inverse relationship between how often they play and how many minutes they get when they do play. The R2 is crap, obviously, but if you play lots of minutes, you get more games off.

Those 9 players get between 12 and 30 minutes per game, and they have played between 34 and 41 games.

The Warriors have four players above and to the right of everyone on the Spurs, meaning they play more games and more minutes in the games they do play. Harrison Barnes is there all alone on the chart at 24 games and 30 minutes catching up after his injury. If we assume that he had played 38 games to match the rest of the big 4, their top five players would have played about 64% of all minutes available, while the Spurs top five minutes guys have played just 55% of all minutes available. So the Spurs appear to be deeper than the Warriors.

Now, on to the Thunder. They show a really clear trend line. You play more games, you play a LOT more minutes. That one outlier at 33 games and 36 minutes is Durant. Again adjusting for Durant's injury, their starters play about 64% of all minutes. But again, by looking at the chart we can see that they really play a consistent rotation of 7 guys. Their top 7 play 81% of available minutes. The Spurs' top 7 plays 72% of minutes. So again, you see that big cloud of guys for the Spurs who play significant minutes in most games indicating a big depth advantage.

Analysis added to the post with the charts.

I'm not going to screw around with putting labels on all those points, it's a pain in the butt for scatter plots.
