I can vouch for watty. He's posted on the Varsity board plenty of trying to get to a Spurs game. While I don't agree with him in wanting to see some Curry magic (only because I've been wanting to see a team actually make things tough for him so it's actually a game) he's not a bad guy and I know he's talked about being a Spurs fan before. Your posts just weren't necessary and there's no reason to give **** to a guy who said he wanted to see Curry be Curry.
Especially if that's the only game they'll go to this year AND they paid for those tickets on the secondary market - those suckers were expensive. It's no different than Spurs fans wanting to see Kobe's last game. People like to see the stars.

Look, I don't need to proof my fandom to anyone, but nevertheless, I've been a Spurs fan for my whole life. I was a fan BEFORE they ever had D.R. You'd probably be pretty surprised to find out just how much I love the Spurs. I could give plenty of details and examples but it's not worth my time.
Jordan was my all time favorite player and I saw him at the Alamadome in 1998, and even then, I hoped for a Spurs win and for Jordan to score 50. I'm allowed to want to have my cake (a Spurs win) and want to eat it too (seeing Curry hit 12 three pointers).
I absolutely gave the Spurs credit for what they did last night. That doesn't mean I can't also legitimately point out that Curry was noticeably off in warm ups and then in the game and therefore wonder if something was up. All I was doing was asking if the announcers said anything about it.
Fun night. Cost me a ton of money but well worth it.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be an ass. After the game, I had heard enough of ESPN making excuses for the Warriors and how they were shorthanded. I was a little pissy.

No problem. The Spurs thread is usually a pretty friendly spot. Glad you got to see a great game and a Spurs win for your visit to the AT&T Center. I bet it felt like the playoffs last night so I'm jealous I couldn't go.
I think Pop will play through March, with the exception of the OKC game which is a b2b following a home date with Memphis
Duncan just got a rest game against GS and will have 2 more of those, so unless he's ailing you can use those for rest. Dallas game to end the season will see Simmons and Boban play 40 minutes.

The Warriors live and die by the outside shot. When it is not going in they are in trouble. The Spurs played incredible defense the entire night. Team defense. Calling out picks, switching, etc.
Actually, let me qualify that. Best regular season 5 game stretch. Otherwise it'd be the 2014 Finals.

Charlotte is a very good team and has been rolling lately, especially at home. That's unfortunate to have the shooting woes bite again. Nobody was hitting tonight. Pop also tried to get Martin an extended run and it allowed Lin to get rolling.

The fast break he stopped was from one of his many wide open bricks he threw up. He ended up shooting 0 for 7. Yes, his defense is good, but he is a liability on the offensive end this season.
So I guess it becomes a matchup issue - do you play all-offense, no-defense Kevin Martin, or all-defense, no_offense Danny Green?
