He's pretty close. I'd say his offense is still only good to very good (hard to say where he is right now because he's had the whole summer to work on his game, and I'm sure he spent the whole summer working because he's an extremely driven guy), but his defense... Almost nobody else in the league would defend Durant as aggressively as Kawhi's defending him tonight, and Durant would make the others who tried pay for it. Well Durant's tried to get by Kawhi a couple times when Kawhi's gotten up in Durant's face, and Kawhi has ruined his ****. That block was freaking incredible.

Kawhi just abused Durant. The bigger part of that play is the respect given by the refs. That's the kind of and one call that star players get.

I'll take the being a better defensive team than offensive team. The ball movement and shooting will come, but defense is something that has to be established early on and I love the way they're getting after it on that end of the court.

I find it pretty interesting that it's pretty much been Duncan and Aldridge or Diaw and West, but not a whole lot mixing the sets of bigs. Its gonna be fascinating to watch how Pop can mix and match those 4 as the season progresses.

Pretty happy with what I saw tonight, mostly, even if we lose.

LMA and West seem to be integrating well into the system.

Spurs will only get better from here on out.
