I understand that, but I expected to see our other max player step up with Kawhi hurting. He is playing so soft.
Just one of those off games. Had multiple possessions with 3 and 4 shot opportunities that we flat missed (and that's not even accounting for the absurd amount of missed bunnies).
Plus, TOR hit a lot of high-difficulty shots and played excellent defense. Gotta tip the cap.

He's had some quietly good games lately. Kawhi has just been ridiculous so we haven't noticed, but he's often our second highest scorer and our first team defense has been stifling with him in.
This was a bad game for the entire team, I wouldn't judge Lamarcus' performance tonight as how he will play the rest of the season.

I keep waiting for TOR to become a force in the East. Maybe this year they finally turn the corner. They have the pieces to do it. Also one of the few teams to push GSW to the brink this year so far.

Felt like the Spurs were able to get good shots for long stretches, they just couldn't get them to drop. Owned the boards and generally forced a lot of pullup jumpers even though the contests weren't great. Chalk it up to an off night.

Haha, no. Not ready to move it to Defcon 4. It's nowhere near the Richard Jefferson level.

Very sloppy game by both teams tonight. Sean kept talking about getting to Atlanta at 3 AM and it looked like it affected the Spurs. But they played good defense and scored enough to make it a blowout so I'll take it.
GS loses their first game of the year in December, and just like that, the Spurs are only 4 games back. Lolzzz

Why would that matter if we can beat the other teams while resting our old guys? We do it all season. It's not like Pop only rests his guys before Atlanta.

meh, he was just pissed off because he's competitive. A lot of coaches don't feel like yuckin it up after getting your ass handed to you.
Spurs vs Jazz tonight 7:30 PM. Spurs begin a 4 game home stand and have 10 out of the next 13 games at the AT&T Center.
