We could lose to the Celtics even if we play the starters. They are well coached, and Pop is trying to help our team find an identity.

The Wizards aren't bad, and Boogie/Kings could beat us if we rest players.'

All three road games, ripe for an early WTF game.

To me the WTF games happen later on to much greater extent. We don't know what are W/L trajectory is yet. The loss to the KNICKS this past spring rings a bell.

Overall, I'm not really worried about W/L this year. I'm excited to see how the system develops with all the new pieces, and worried about health over everything. A #2 seed or a #6 seed will really make no difference in April with such a competitive conference.

If you want to watch a lot, I'd consider league pass. If you split it with a friend it'll be $70 each for the whole season, and one account lets you play games on two devices simultaneously, so neither of you will ever get in the way of the other.

The guy is HUGE. He can just park himself under the basket at effect shots get rebounds no matter how unathletic he is.

For those that didn't watch the game, a couple of notes.

Aldridge started really poorly. The looks are there, he's just missing them. He's made a career of having a smooth, dependable mid range shot, so I'm not really worried about that. If he was getting bottled up and not carving out a space for himself, I wouldn't feel real good. He found his stroke a little at the end of the game, and it was really fun to watch.

Kawhi decided to turn it up a couple notches this season. At this rate, he's going to be in the running for MVP. He's driving to the basket, creating his own shot, hitting step back jumpers. His defense is somehow getting better as well. Just a monster.

Diaw and West are a liability on defense when they are the two "bigs". They are both tough and savvy, but at the end of the day, they are small and can't rebound. The second unit offense as a whole is going to be a huge strength though.

Boston isn't a bad team. Average age is only 25, and the Marcus Smart, Isaiah Thomas combination is fun to watch. One PG to run you over and beat you up, and the other can run circles around everyone on the court.

It was a good win, and I'm looking forward to more of the Kawhi/Aldridge destruction tour.

I'm not concerned about the offense, but I was pleased to see us put together several plays in the second half to get LMA the ball at point bank range. Offensively, that should be our advantage for him over Portland: more easy looks. He'll still get isos from his preferred midrange spot, but I'm hoping we can get him about 12 "easy" points per game so that he doesn't feel like he needs to get tons of those relatively low efficiency jumpers (he's very good at them relatively speaking, but it's still not as good as an open three or layup).

Plus Kawhi looks really smooth and he has a ton of moves now. He's more aggressive, and his biggest improvements seem to be
1. Cleaner footwork and timing for better balance and leverage near the basket to finish cuts and putbacks
2. Improved form and accuracy on midrange jumpers
3. More balance and control in his post game
All are more about refining and polishing his game for more consistency and reliability rather than developing completely new talents. I'm pretty excited about what he's going to do offensively this year.

Green also seems to look a little smoother on straight line drives, which is good.

Defensively, I like what I'm seeing from Aldridge so far. He's still a beat late coming over to cut off drives, but he's making the effort. As long as he's willing to work, he has the intelligence and physical tools to be a very good defender. Hopefully some of the effort he saves by getting more easy looks on offense will be used on defense.

And don't make Kawhi mad, because then you will not get to shoot or dribble or touch the ball or breath for a while.
