We are no longer in the offseason boys. Media day was today and training camp starts tomorrow. Congratulations, we've made it through an uncharacteristicly long summer.

That last roster spot will definitely be interesting to watch. Especially with a team like the Spurs who at times like to keep that 15th spot open for future use.

Jimmer and Rasual Butler obviously the favorites to earn that spot. I am very interested to see how DeShaun Thomas looks in camp. Spurs obviously are pretty high on him extending an invite and he looks to be in great physical shape.

Simmons obviously got the guaranteed deal but that doesn't necessarily mean he's completely safe considering the low amount of that deal. Although, anyone who watched the Spurs in Summer League knows the talent he flashed there.

Rasual Butler gave me his wristband once. I didn't ask for it and I didn't need it but he gave it to me. And I kept it and am sorta proud of it because he's one of my current favorite journeyman NBAers. In his prime he was a poor man's Ime Udoka or a homeless man's Bruce Bowen.

Pop on staying committed to the Spurs:
