Zaxbys = bad location. Zaxbys all over the south do well.

Anchor Bar = bad location. The one in Round Rock is booming.

Coopers = bad location. the reason the other restaurant that used to be there closed. i dont know how coopers stays open.

(yes I think Coopers was new. still no one goes there - I think the Big 6 project moving north is going to get them. that and beef prices)

maybe thinking of ninfas/maria mias - that's a bad location also. i don't know how MM stays open either.

I agree the location isn't the best, but Zaxbys closed many of its Houston locations. Their eight-year run is not an indicator of the location.

Anchor Bar has a case for the whole area not being viable given Ozark is becoming a dispensary. But there's still not enough data to suggest a location issue. Also the San Marcos location closed within a year as well.

Anyone outside of Buffalo, NY doesn't know the story. I've been to the original in Buffalo and frankly found it underwhelming. Had some neighbors that were from Buffalo and they will tell you that Anchor Bar was ass.

Supposedly, Anchor Bar originated the "Buffalo Wing".

When I got to TAMU, I hadn't ever heard of a chicken wing joint. Quickly found Wings N More and was a fan.

If you are gonna specialize in a single menu item, you might want to have it in your name...

Anchor bar had lousy service and no where near the vibe of the Round Rock and other locations. Starts with management and that was bad.

Pluckers opening at same time doomed Anchor Bar more than anything

My son liked it and i liked some of the menu items but not enough to make me go more than i did. Service wasnt great but changing the specials nearly every week made it confusing as well

"Anchor Bar" sounds like a seafood restaurant.

i know many in my circle never stepped foot in Pluckers but went to anchor bar regularly.

The service was great for about a month then it tanked after that. I mean like having ask multiple waiters for another beer. Damn near had to beg for any service

Kreuz Market. The original in Lockhart has had forks and sauce since 2017 after they added them to the one in Bryan.

Coopers was built way too big. Its empty 95% of the time. Even on busy game weekends where it should make up for it by having lines it is barely at 50%.. I believe there is some relationship though between the people that owned that dirt and the people that built the Coopers or own Coopers. So either the land cost was free or limited when the build was done so they do have that going for them to help with costs a bit (from what I've heard).

Not correct. This store is 4,500 sq. feet. Since the early 2000's new La Mads have been in the 3,000-4,500 sq ft size, so this is actually on the larger size for modern stores for them. You may be thinking of the older, standalones which were quite large (and costly).

maybe Coopers is different, but I believe, typically, Tesla does not pay rent nor pay any sort or royalties or compensation to businesses in which they build/install and operate charging stations in their parking lots. The benefit to the businesses that have tesla charging stations in their parking lots is typically supposed to be in the form of increased foot traffic.
