The Aplin building looks really cool. I'm glad they were able to keep all the trees.

Oh it's already gone? Too bad. I was their first customer.

Wild Grain has been there for some time now. Or were you referring to Mochinut?

Any word if the pizzeria, Famous Famiglia in Northgate is coming back or if it's closed permanently? I don't wanna waste my money parking to go check to see if there is a sign on the door. I don't see anything on the list of closed restaurants here on TexAgs, and some in the comments were saying it was just temporarily closed for the summer. I'm craving that pizza.

I didn't have a job at the time.

He don't give up, I'll give that to him. Just like the Dallis brothers.

He has great food. Love his stuff. I dream of his burgers still.

His problem has been either the help he had (when he had a storefront) or the inconsistent days/hours when he had the food truck.

Thanks so much! We are part Spartan after all lol, on Mom's side. Dad's side was more the Greek philosophy.

I wish CMac the best of luck. He's very passionate.

We too have a trailer in the queue. A Mojo Tortilla Co trailer. Can't wait to announce the location. Also currently in lease negotiations for a second MT Co location in Bryan!

It is closed for good. The space is becoming a place called Mama Roza Classic Mexican Kitchen. They got most of their final permits last month and their health inspection was last week. I would expect it to open soon - maybe by the time of the first game weekend.

I noticed on the recent site plan submissions for the city of Bryan that there is an apartment complex going to be built next to the Kimbell Center in downtown. It is called the Lorca Apartments.

Quote:

Site plan for a 79,000 square foot development of 100 multi-family units located in the Downtown North District (DT-N) between East 22nd Street and West Pruitt Street.

I recall that, when he had the food truck, he sold out most days. I thought it was the 100+ temps in a food truck with no A/C that saw him pivoting back to real estate/home sales.

I know he no longer eats burgers (paints them instead), wish him well, and will definitely support him in this new adventure.

He complained to me about the heat in the truck almost every time I ate there. I'm sure it factored in.

Oh good, we need more Mexican restaurants here. Massive shortage of those.

Design for the apartments going in at Rock Prairie and Wellborn. Council recently approved a zonging change to allow multifamily there.

You'd adapt. I lived in Chicago for a couple of years and a block away from the El. 1st week was horrible but it ended up just blending into the background.

I thought we were moving everybody to Northgate? West Wellborn is becoming Party Row...

We almost bought a house that was off Rock Prairie west of Wellborn. So glad we didn't go that route now.
I hope I did not offend anybody with this post. If I did, please come see me at my address in my profile so we can talk.

Lived 5 years across the street from that rail line, wasn't bad. Now, I couldn't imagine living in the Calloway Villas, but didn't seem to hurt their vacancy rates.

Extra traffic on Rock Prairie at the railroad crossing should be fun.

I think I saw something along the lines of, on average, 20 - 25 trains go through CS every day.

That being said, when I was in school at A&M, people lived in dorms with no AC. (gasp!)
