Made a run to Twin and the guys working there adamantly confirmed that a Sprouts will open next door this year. The collective guess was "this summer."

We found it to be pretty meh. We went during lunch and I didn't look for adult beverages.

I was looking at the restaurant openings listed for 2025 and it's shocking! Nothing really cool that's new besides Tim Hortons! I was looking for a new place to eat tonight. Hopefully 2026 is better. We need a Waffle House or a waffle restaurant to open because that's what people want. We're oversaturated in tacos and chicken fingers. We need some business men & women in BCS that understand how to think out of the box instead of regurgitating the same old thing! It's so boring. I THINK IT'S BEEN YEARS NOW that this town has been asking for a Waffle House! How can you ignore this as a business man or woman?

It's not the best time to open a restaurant. Maybe things will change. I try to support what's here…try, not always succeed.

One of the worst Waffle House-related takes I've seen on this board was that it was a "good idea" to open right on Northgate.

Tell me you've never seen a brawl at Waffle House at 2:30 am without telling me you've never seen a brawl at Waffle House at 2:30 am.

Just for clarity on the food in northgate issue, there is an ordinance against being open to serve food/be open after 2am in NG-1. The authorities want everyone out of there asap at closing. Before anyone asks, yes this includes food trucks, restaurants etc that don't serve alcohol.

The clear beneficiaries are Taco Bell, McDonald's, Fuego, Burger Mojo etc.

And this was true back in the days when the Taco Bell on Harvey was just about the only thing in town with a drive through open that late. At one time it was said to have been the most profitable Taco Bell in the country thanks to this.
