According to the Building Permits Issued list, it is listed as 1210 Harvey Mitchell Parkway South, which is on Loopnet. I don't think this particular plot was ever owned by TAMU.

It doesn't say anything about approval for a curb cut on Luther, if they could, I bet it would be mentioned as a feature.

I think that's why developments on this parcel keep falling through. They can't get the Luther curbcut from TAMU, so it doesn't share the benefits of being on a hard corner.

I heard this 10 years ago, but I'm assuming it still holds true.

Luther Street West doesn't really have a curb there, and there's no fence or landscaping. I can understand why they might've frowned upon it in the past but the current TAMU is no enemy to commercial development and outsourcing on campus property, and would probably gladly hand over a curb cut if it meant something to them.

Previous rational I've heard is that the poultry science people don't want additional traffic/noise by the center.

I would assume that the the tenant is either fully aware of the lack of access or that they worked something out. That whole thing is likely getting redone in the process.

I haven't seen any renderings for the Poultry Science center yet, but I do know they're wanting a new parking lot as part of the project, so I'm sure the access will look completely different than it does now. Also worth noting the city's thoroughfare plan calls for an eventual connection of Luther to Dowling. I'm sure plenty of involved parties will fight it, but that would provide tremendous relief to Holleman from a traffic perspective.

The University is going to let the city connect Luther to Dowling someday?

I'm sure there would have to be some sort of ground lease agreement that the university could profit from development along Luther for it to come to fruition.

A new Asian place is going in next to Taqueria El Sol de Mexico, where Papa Murphy's used to be.

We all have the option of cash or card. Personally it's cash for me.

If they are paying 3% they need to renegotiate. We are a small business and we pay less than 2.5%.

My dealership also started charging a 3% fee which really sucks when you have a 3k repair. Oh well, doing nothing but debit now nearly everywhere we go.

Pickleball kingdom has some big attention seeking flags and a bunch of door stickers about signing up. Not sure the flags are much help, given they are behind HEB and Whataburger.

It gets complicated. They can charge a convenience fee which is what most call it to cover themselves on debit versus credit. They can also do a cash discount.

I witnessed someone once ask for a W9 from a restaurant because they had some additional charge on their bill. Not sure what it was but it wasn't a tip. The bill must have been over $600 because it was a party of probably 15. It was a mess but hilarious to watch. He kept saying that if you can't provide it or take off the additional charge I will be forced to withhold 24% and remit it to the IRS. They were pissed but he stuck to his guns. They eventually took off the charge.
