Anyone know anything about the new Aunt Josie's soul food in the target center in Bryan next to Pizza Hut? Sign just went up.

I first noticed the sign about a month ago. Doesn't look open every time I drive by. Tried a quick Google search and didn't find anything about it.
Fire permits have been filed with the city for the new McDonalds planned for Wellborn and Deacon. Has anyone been out there recently? Is construction underway?
I believe this is one of three new McDonalds in the construction phase (joining Southern Pointe and VIlla Maria/Harvey Mitchell).

The one at villa Maria and Harvey Mitchell is directly across the street from the McDonald's at the shell station. Do you imagine they will close the one at the shell station?
Yes, they are building that one to replace the gas station location.

Wow. That's very close to the new one at Wellborn and Holleman.
The BCS market must have hit a metric for McDonald's for them to be in such an expansion mode here.
I heard a rumor about one going in by the Starbucks and TXB across from Veteran's Park. But, I have not seen any permitting work that would indicate that is the case. Given all the activity at Veterans, it wouldn't surprise me to see one there though.

I don't understand the one going in by Southern Pointe. There is one half a mile down the road by HEB.

It is actually 3.2 miles according to Google maps. I don't think it is unusual for them to build locations not far apart. People are not driving far to go to one, so have to bring them to the people.

That's going to mess up traffic at that intersection. It's already hard to turn right there at rush hour.

TEES is Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station. They do engineering research and technology development; for example, they work in energy, robotics, AI, manufacturing, and national security.

Apologies if discussed already but is Brusters ice cream dead? Slab has been sitting there for mths without any additional work over it and now there appears to be a for lease or for sale sign in front of it (could only see from a distance).
Its a shame if it is indeed dead. Brusters is really good and someone needs to give that terrible Baskin Robbins some real competition.

When did Jimmy John's on Texas near the CS Target become a Pizza Hut? May have been years ago, but I just realized it today.

There is an Autozone going in on Boonville near Copperfield, next to the 7-Eleven.
Maybe I missed it here and didn't notice it while driving around, but Houser Vision is next to Lapel's Laundry and Haraz Coffee.

Ugh was hoping for something we didn't have several of. I came here to see what was going there. Site work has started.
