I don't like this either. But I think they have gotten away with it for so many years by having a displayed shelf price but then also displaying the 'discounted price' if paying with cash or debit.

More typically, the credit card surcharge is added to the advertised price.

At least they haven't added a health insurance benefit surcharge to the bill. Yet. I saw this on Reddit:

I actually tried to once on Door Dash and got some kind of error message. I've been real curious about them too. Full report if you succeed.

Oh they must be using the space those Cajun folks operated out of…I remember a working kitchen there.

We were out there last month on Valentine's Day and were talking to the owner. They actually have 2 commercial kitchens for rent. There's 2 bbq guys, the pizza guy, a lady that make breakfast tacos and other stuff, and another soul food type guy that also does catering. Also, a lot of food trucks use the space for prep and cleaning.

They host a lot of events/parties when not open for public. Them possibly closing has nothing to do with the success of the restaurant. Has to do with the owner of the property selling to someone who wants to do something different on the property.

Enh. Maybe, maybe not. By that same token, you could argue that Albertsons never actually failed in the area, they just got bought out, but I doubt you'd be that charitable.

A Jaggers restaurant is going in next to the new McAlister's near Rock Prairie.

Construction is expected to be completed by late May.

Jaggers is a fast casual concept from the Texas Roadhouse people. Burgers, Chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, salads, etc

Yes, it is a small 3,500 square foot building, so it should be a quick build. Their permitting shows work started last month. I haven't noticed anything out there, but haven't paid attention to be honest.

My 17 year old daughter was one of the first 50 in line with friends. She said it was fantastic, as good as the location in Koreatown down Houston way.

It's a good gimmick I concede. Take something normal but serve it in a weird container. I appreciate that it works.
