Tried Caminos Mexican Cafe for to-go dinner tonight. Food was good when I finally made it home, to-go service not good. Hopefully they can work out the kinks moving forward.

I dined-in last night @ Caminos.

The food was good and reasonably priced. They have a small menu, which is a plus.

The restaurant was not too busy but the servers were stressed out. They were nice and polite, but you could see they were not used the pace required.

I enjoyed it and hope they get their systems in order and find their rhythm before the semester starts. I can see this place being packed. I think the (physically) closest Mexican Restaurant to them might be Coco Loco on Welsh.

Between this place, Dunkin, Dutch Bros, and Jones Crossing; that section of Welborn will become a real nightmare once students & staff get back to campus full time.

Ate at Camino's today.

Salsa had a kick. Friend loved it. And it was warm which some like, some don't.

Friend had the beef fajitas which looked chewy. He had trouble taking bites. Huge chunks of meat.

Cheese enchiladas weren't anything special. Need to try something else.

Will go back to try but wasn't overly impressed

Probably years away. By the time it actually makes it onto the CSTX New Development list, it's usually (but not always) a done deal, and there are lots and lots of development plans that are on College Station's servers that never made it off the drawing board for one reason or another, including an office park between what is now Midas and the former police station, reopening the former Albertsons on College Avenue as an Albertsons, a hotel near where Callaway House is now, and a bunch of others.

The Whataburger at Southwest Parkway and Wellborn was reported here as a rumor around 2016 before it ever appeared on any city development pages or official sources.
