I took this screenshot from a development brochure someone linked earlier in the month. Both Five Guys and Snooze are shown in the right corner, next to the Starbucks. I took that to mean they are still happening ATM.

Edit: found it

Yeah, but it shows Genghis Grill, too.

Saw a coming soon banner up at Culpepper Plaza where Spoons was for a place called Rush Bowls.

From their website, they serve bowls with fruit & veggies, granola, honey, and toppings, as well as smoothies. No date on the banner, but still looked like lots of work left to do on the inside.

They finally broke ground on big shots golf at Bryan's midtown park. Should be open by late 2021.

Drive-thru and take-out only.

The line at lunch yesterday rivaled the line at Dunkin's.

Stopped by Popeye's again today around 11 and the line was still long.

Parked and went inside to order. In and out in under 5 minutes.

Glad you CS people are finally getting to experience the Popeye's goodness that us Bryanites have been enjoying for decades.

It has been such a struggle! I've actually driven to Navasota from Fitch to get my hit a few times.

That Navasota location is such a beating too... they've never once had spicy cooked when I've rolled through there. Makes my Bryan location feel like a Chic-fil-A.

We had a Popeye's on Graham (it's now a Marco's.)

It was so terribly run that they closed it down. I don't think I ever had anything but a subpar experience there and wasn't shocked when it shut down.

I'm sure you already know this, but poor customer service is a huge part of the overall Popeyes experience. It's a major facet of their brand identity.

You're probably correct.

But then the KFC on the corner of Texas & Southwest has stayed open 30+ years longer than I thought it would.

It was a front for drugs. That's what the locals used to say. There's no way someone would run a store that badly. /sarcasm

Do they sell alcohol there as well? Or is it just cigars?

It's BYOB. I think with certain memberships or cigar purchases they will provide a drink included with the cigar. They do not sell alcohol though.

Edit: You can get a drink to-go from Downtown Elixer and walk across the street though.

Site plans submitted for a 12-building, 288-unit apartment complex called Ascend at Harvey. It will be located at Harvey and Summit Crossing - across from Skybreak Church.

Their website says they have beer and wine. Liquor is BYOB and they have set-ups.
