Someone posted last night that Sodolak's was closing but sometime today the thread was yeeted, anyone know the real scoop?

I ate there a few weeks ago and wondered why it was still open. The chicken fried steak was good and that's where it stopped. Worst broccoli casserole ever, terrible mashed potatoes too. I'd rather fight the parking of downtown to eat at Longhorn.

I saw a "Coming Soon" sign outside of the old NAPA Auto Parts on 2818 (between Longmire and Southwood) but I wasn't able to read it. A little digging, however, reveals that it's supposed to be "Glo by TFO", an "auto spa" that does finishes. (website)
I have never understood how Longhorn does not serve mashed potatoes with CFS... Just can't do it...
Been to both Sodolaks and Longhorn in the past couple weeks. Both were good, parking was harder at Sodolaks as there is a huge lot on WJB, and Longhorn has a great baked potato that goes with any meat. Sodolaks will be missed as it is usually packed, but we go to Longhorn a lot more often.
Longhorn finally gave in and started serving mashed potatoes 2 years ago!

Saw a tweet today that Good Bull BBQ is reopening tomorrow, under new management, 11am - 6pm.
Yep. Talked to the new owner. Point of sale system delivery got jacked up, so gonna be cash only I think

The short version from what I've heard is that management changed and things went downhill.
What's going with Downtown Uncorked that moved from Bryan to south college station? Originally thought it was suppose to be open by now.

Just talked to the guy running Good Bull. They're having to do the same thing, though he didn't say anything about a timeline

Holleman and 2818 shopping center also vacant.
