I want in on this comparison. If I am looking for them, I will see at least 2-3 on any given night from late April until September. Most in one night was 14 in 45 minutes of looking. Out of curiosity, where do you and Mouth live? My camp is about 3 miles southeast of Sublime.......10 miles east of Hallettsville for those who have never heard of Sublime.


We are in between Weimar and Sheridan in Colorado County.

Met him when i was getting into the car earlier. Me and my son tried to play with him, but he was having none of that. Glad to see him because we are having gopher issues.....not sure if rat snakes will eat them. Badace? Also, happy to see a snack that is not a copperhead for once.

What we normally see....way too often. Notice the cicada he climbed the fence post to check out. When he saw it was just a shed, probably headed down to see if it had dropped to the ground.

Not a snake, but a neat little dude found watering plants this morning. Can't tell if it's a common gray tree frog or Cope's gray tree frog. May have to wait til he sings this evening.

A&M campus. The flattened head was a dead giveaway, so I wrangled him into the grass with a mop handle and sent him in his way.
