Had a blind snake and a few earth snakes looking under rocks for scorpions at the ranch today. Kids loved em!

It is not the smallest of the threadsnakes/blindsnakes but that family does include all the smallest species of snakes. I believe the very smallest is the Barbados Threadsnake.

Poor hognose. My favorite snake. I have 2 (Eastern and Western). Makes me sad.

Some are more prone to then others. Westerns, in my experience, primarily hood and don't play dead. eastern's in my experience only play dead about 1/4 of the time.
