Speaking of snake tongs, are those humane for snakes? I use them almost daily in the spring and summer to relocate rat and water snakes (mostly huge rat snakes in my chicken coop). Don't want to be accidentally hurting them.Ryandawg said:Grabbed (very securely) with snake tongs.Badace52 said:

I think humane is a relative term. I few broken ribs is a small price to pay for being relocated when most people just kill on sight. I prefer a hook but tongs work well for vipers.Ryandawg said:Speaking of snake tongs, are those humane for snakes? I used a hook at first, but it was so much easier (for me at least) to get them out of a confined space like a chicken coop with the tongs. I don't want to possibly break any of their ribs though, so I'll work on that. Thanks for the info!12f Mane said:I think humane is a relative term. This thread should start getting fun this time of year! I hope people continue to post their pics, even if the majority of followers now know the snake ID. This is a fun thread!!!12th Man Ag said:
I obviously forgot to comment on this thread to start the year. No wonder I haven't been getting notifications!

There was an elusive C snake at one of the neighbors homes the other day. They say Coronavirus will passover your home if a snake deems you worthy and does this at your front door.
