You don't get bonus points if you have to win an extra series in the postseason to get to the ultimate goal. Both teams are 3 series (11 wins) away from that goal.

Agreed! I'm Astros for life, but baseball is my #2 sport next to football. Dallas has my football (and Hockey) love and Houston has my baseball love.

I'd love to see a 'Stros / Rangers ALCS. Considering my 'Stros have been to... I lost count... so many World Series lately... and the fact that we've won 2... if we don't go this year I'm more than Happy for the Rangers to get a shot again.

Screw the Yankees, Redsox, Mariners, A's, Formally Indians... screw all those guys. But Let's go 'Stros and, well I guess, if it's not the Astros then let's sorta go whatever Rangers.

Nope, central Texas. Cowboys fan since berth. My family in Houston and time at A&M made me a Stros fan as a teenager.

I love the Spurs and Stars too, but I'll admit I'm a fair weather fan of those sports. Never did find much love for the Mavs, Rangers, or Rockets, but I'd always rather see a Texas team do well if my teams are out.

I dropped NBA and the Spurs when they focused more on politics than the game itself. I moved from the deuce dime to DFW in 2018 and now I have Stars season tickets I like it so much. Never will I jump on the Cowboys wagon but I will root for the Rangers to at least face the Stros in the ALCS. Wife is from here and so I feel obligated but I think that would just be a damn good series.

One team took care of business down the stretch including sweeping a postseason club.. Another choked away a 2 1/2 game lead with 4 to play then their fans cried about the D-Backs mailing it in on the last day of the season.

If by took care of business you mean losing series to the 2 worst teams in baseball ok… The Rangers gifted it to the Astros. That's fine though, cuz it matters not anymore.

I would have a whole lot more respect for this smack if you guys were cocky enough to post it when it happened (see Farmer's trash talk on this thread particularly him not backing down on his prediction that the Astros would win the AL West). Two weeks after the fact, it sorta loses its sting.
