So a photographer I follow is doing a much shorter African road trip, will be interesting to see how much ground he covers and how his stories are written.

quote:Ok... did a little looking... That photo is on the N1 Highway leaving Tantan, probably just east of the airport. From there it is 24 km to El Ouatia and 208 km to Tarfaya. Looks like a very scenic coastal drive down a paved highway.
His was probably leaving Morocco...hers was probably leaving Mauritania.
quote:Based on that photo he is just outside Guelmim, Morocco. So he is still about 150 miles from leaving Morocco
Also... That is NOT the same sign that was posted by Emily....

458 "likes" on a stupid picture of a jeep park next to a road sign.

One last question: Where are you today, and where will you be next week?
I've just driven the length of The Western Sahara and crossed into Mauritania. My current plans have me crossing into Senegal as early as next week.To do so, I must cross what is commonly called "The Worst Border in Africa." which sounds impressive, if not a little intimidating.

From interview posted on ExPo website. Guess this means he is still alive and made it out of Morocco.
