Did anybody else learn a lot about Africa by reading through this thread and then Googling things? I know I did. I really had no idea Africa was so large.

As slow as he made it through free Europe, betting his first couple of border crossings will not go well and there is significant down time.

Put me down for October 7th. I think this thing is going to be very slow-starting, slow-going filled with long delays where he's stopped in one place, and eventually bogs down at a border. So don't mistake the more extended date for success.
