If he does pull it off, it will take so long with allow driving, break downs, waiting on parts for a Jeep that doesn't exist on that entire continent, that Pappy 15 will be Pappy 23 by the time he finishes

As I wrote in my page 9 post, I'll take day 18 as the last day we hear from him. Assuming those tickets are for today, that puts me at July 22.

I am not sure when they will find jeep parts or even his body...I suppose I'll go with day 20 for body parts and day 31 for the jeep parts.

After watching the documentaries and reading the links in this thread, I agree that border crossings will slow this fast moving train of disaster to a crawl. Look how tiresome it was for the Belgians, who I suspect had significantly more African Continent experience than fellow by the time they reached the Congo.

Basing this on this guy being what we think he is. If he's some bi-cultural, multi-lingual (non-spanish/english only)& free spirited expat special operator with a tapeworm - then he'll probably get by a little better.
