Ok...so in summary:
So the word is out...and the armies (or at least Stannis') are being set in motion to head north to deal with the threats at the Wall. And the threat in words was serious enough that Stannis went back on his word to kill Davos so that he could help him build his army/fleet. Pretty cool.
Now we know for sure (if anyone hadn't figured it out already) that Theon is in Roose Bolton's hands....or at least his bast***'s hands and is being tortured in Bolton's castle. As someone pointed out to me earlier this season the contraption that Theon is tied to is the same shape/form that is on Bolton's sigel. I thought they did a good job with the conversation between Frey and Roose in laying out what all had happened and how it went down.
Do we know if Bolton and Frey killed anyone in Robb's army that wasn't Bolton and Frey? Or just men from Winterfell? Wasn't completely clear on that. Of course after Karstark's men left, I'm not sure how many were still there that weren't Bolton or Stark men, so....maybe not that many.
Arya seems like she's getting a taste for blood. She killed that dude and enjoyed it. And I agree with above...those comments between her and The Hound were awesome. And the longer those two hang out together the more I'll like it. Dang I hope Martin realizes he has an AWESOME combo there and sticks with it.
Tywin Lannister basically telling Joffrey to sit down and shut up was greatness. I liked all of the Kings Landing stuff this episode: small council....Tyrion realizing just how young/gullible/innocent Sansa is with her mispronounciation of "sh**"...Jaime making it back...Varhys and Shea...Tyrion and Cersei talking....all of it.
Still have no idea what's happening with Bran. I realize they're going north of the Wall to find the Three Eyed Raven, but I can't come up with any predictions as to why. So Mance Rader is still hanging out up there with an army about to start a fire, some Wildlings are south of the wall, but Jon and the Wolves killed some, Bran and his group are now north, there's a White Walker army walking around somewhere up there (I guess waiting for Winter to really set in), there's still a few guys at Castle Black, etc. Bunch of random stories there that I can't really get into.
I liked Theon's sister getting back into this thing with a vengeance. She's got some redeaming characteristics that I could grow to like. That little personal vengeance mission she's on could get interesting.
Dany just keeps rolling. I like what she's doing but dang it's taking a long time for her to get over the sea and get into the mix.
It was pretty typical final episode. Visited every key character (can't think of anyone that got left out) and set them up for what/where they're going next season. It even visited the Greyjoys and Castle Black for the first time this season. It's going to be REALLY hard for me not to pick up the second and third books this offseason. I've gotten to where about Wednesday of each week I start "watching the clock" and counting down until Sunday. I'm pretty sure this is my favorite show going right now.
