Had to go back and watch season 2 again after watching Sunday's episode. Everything makes much better sense the second time around.

For anyone that still has trouble remembering faces and characters, the GoT wiki is a pretty good resource. It's based solely on the show, so no book spoilers.

Today's the day suckas!!! Based on the "info"/title for tonight's episode there are some more key new characters introduced tonight and the people that weren't covered in the premier all get air time.

Pumped!

Wasn't as good as last week but still a pretty solid episode. I enjoyed Jojen and Meera Reed.

Good episode. Scene with Lady Stark darn caused waterworks. No scenes with harrenhal survivor, guess he's coming in later? Interesting to finally see Bran's role in the series come to light. I've always asked myself what his purpose was and the meaning of the 3 eyed crow.

Liked it. Not a barn burner episode, but a great set up episode. More introductions to "players" (Reeds, Thoros, the Tyrell grandmother).

Thought it REALLY showed the way Maergary Tyrell can play the game. Not sure if she did that on her own, or if she took Sansa's comments and started using that little bit of info (monster) and stroking Joffery with the kill comments, weapon compliments, etc. Pretty smooth.

It feels like these episodes fly by in 20 minutes. So many cliffhangers...

Which scene are you talking about arces?

Guessing he's talking about her story to Robb's wife about praying for Jon Snow's death and almost getting her wish...then blaming herself for everything that's gone on since because she didn't keep her end of the promises to the Gods.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that, great scene.

Do we know why Theon is being tortured and by whom?

no, I don't think so. can't remember the details about why his men turned on him last season

I remember he was clocked on the head after that epic locker room type speech.

Got ya. So the Boltons are who was sent by Robb Stark to take back Winterfell. Makes sense now.

Hey inspector, that hasn't been revealed yet in the show so you should probably take it down. It's probably not super big info but the fact that the show chose not to reveal it yet might mean they want to set up some drama with it.

Agreed. That is a pretty huge spoiler at this point, even for book readers. The show is revealing some events that readers won't find out about until ADWD. Take it down.

Calm down, that sigil has already been displayed this season. It's on the flags of Bolton's banner men who find Jamie. And it's wore on Lord Bolton square in the middle of his chest.
I don't think he "spoiled to much" just gave a little nudge to help the curious fan.
Stive
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The sigil being displayed and making the connection that they're the ones holding him and torturing him are two very different things. The show has already shown that it's going to introduce things at it's own pace and in a different order than the books.

I've only read the first book, and had no idea that was who was holding Theon. Now I know. And that info, combined with what Robb's sidekick (Roose Bolton?) said last night about his bas****, makes me start wondering some things. If the show wanted us to know it was that family holding Theon, it would have told us.....obviously it didn't.

On a separate note, is it pretty telling how used to violence we've become, when there hasn't been a single mention of Theon having something sharp jammed under his fingernails and screws turned into his feet?

Take it down, leave it up, do whatever... you guys can figure out the protocol here. But I will say that two different non-readers at the office both figured out who was torturing Theon. HBO made it pretty clear by pulling back and showing him up on the X.
sharkenleo
How long do you want to ignore this user?
My roommate figured out who it was. Non-reader.
Stive
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm not saying it couldn't have been figured out. But there's a big difference in making a guess/prediction and someone definitively saying "it was so and so".

Alright. I'm done with it. Leave it up, take it down, I don't care. Just go easy on the non book readers when answering stuff that the show hasn't answered yet. HBO has done a pretty good job of not leaving things hanging....they've just told the story in a different way.

Stive, he didn't jam anything under his fingernails, he flayed his finger. They didn't make that very obivious though.

The whole situation with Theon is confusing. His own people wacked him on the head, left him there for Bolton's *******. Now he's being tortured by them, but his sister sends someone to help him out. Is this their way or teaching him a lesson/initiate him into the family business?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
The Game of Thrones Wiki does a pretty good job of summarizing and explaining stuff a little better by only following what's happening on the TV show. All it says about the men who are torturing Theon: "Men come in, some wearing ironborn clothing, and interrogate him."
Stive

And that combined with a slave boy showing up claiming he's from Theon's sister is enough to leave non-readers questioning who has Theon. I wondered if it was Bolton's crew. Or his own family and he's back on the Iron Islands. Or someone else altogether.

This was my intention. I really wasn't trying to spoil anything, especially as someone who only read this thread up till recently reading the books. Didn't think I was giving any plot points away because they've shown a lot of that massive "X" symbol so far.

Plus, in the end of season two the Ironborn were surrounded by northerners and gave up the castle. I didn't spill any secrets except which house they gave him over to, and was honestly just trying to fill in what I saw as a VERY small gap of info. We have no clue what the show is planning to do next and that includes me so how can I spoil it?

Why wouldn't Theon have know the Bolton's had him since he was strapped to a big X?
