When the wheels stop I have driven 569 miles (910km) without a gas station. The computer shows an average of 19.9mpg. Most of that was on a flat highway with the cruise set at 50mph.
yeah, after "running out of gas" last month, he's now bragging about how gas is more plentiful and screw all the haters that said he needed diesel.Seven said:
His website said he spent 24 hours in "the city without gas". I'm guessing that all of this was added drama to draw website clicks that had drastically fallen off. I clicked twice in the last few days and I haven't been on there in several months
i thought he fancied himself as an over lander... looks like a Sunday afternoon drive to get the milk.TexasAggie_02 said:yeah, after "running out of gas" last month, he's now bragging about how gas is more plentiful and screw all the haters that said he needed diesel.Seven said:

I took Malarone when i went to Mali. Never had any issues with it. I also wore long sleeves, pants, and used 99% DEET and mosquito nets.
YMMV
Also, what Dan fails to realize is that if he didn't take the correct dosage of the cure from the corner drugstore then the parasite may go dormant in his liver, causing a relapse at a later date.

A few hours later my symptoms begin to feel very familiar. I really don't want them to, but they do. It is as if I have run two back to back marathons without eating anything I am weak, shaking a little and feel very disconnected from my body. I can tell that if I went to the gym, I would be unable to lift the lightest weights on offer.
I tell my friends I think I have Malaria, and we discuss the options.

A few hours later I only feel worse, and so I take a Coartem tablet, the "cure" that worked wonders last time I had Malaria
In the morning, things do not improve.

Happily, all the way back in Cameroon I planned for this outcome. Knowing I would be many months in the remote jungles of West Africa, I bought the inject-able "cure" for Malaria, called Artemether. This is more-or-less a much more potent form of the tablets I have been taking, and it is what would be injected if I got myself to a clinic.

Apparently he has paired up with some other vehicle he ran into for a while.
I initially thought hobbit feet might be back.
Saw this thread bumped and my first thought was "he is finally dead" alas that is not the case... still can't believe he bypassed Somalia, I guess he is saving that for the last item on his bucket list.RedBeardDude said:
