Yeah, gotta love the high-vis vest and the extremely smooth paved roads with curb and gutter drainage while he babbles on about traveling an undeveloped country.

I think the drone footage in the opening segment might be from stateside. Just guessing. I read somewhere, I think in the TopGear segment from somewhere in this thread, that a drone got that trip held up for a good while, even confiscated. (IIRC)

now let's be fair about Emily. he may have advertised this as a solo trip, but if I'm in his shoes, and a semi-attractive female that I met in Europe (i'll give her a 5.5) wants to tag along, it's a no brainer. he probably never thought someone would want to go along.
now if it comes out that taking Emily was the plan all along, that's a different story.

She looks a little thick for me, but probably wood. I'd want a travel partner too if I were him. You'd be talking to yourself in a few days all alone in the African bush. If she's got good bush, that's good for him too.

It also says "written, directed, filmed and edited by Dan Grec" (himself). Pretty amazing that he was able to take panning shots of himself driving onto a boat, or the footage from the passenger seat.
I missed that credit on the drone footage. Your point about the shot of him driving onto the boat shouldn't be overlooked. This is definitely not a "solo" trip.

Last post she made that wasn't anti-oil/gas or anti-mansplaining was on May 12th. She was trying to sell her tickets to a hippie music festival that started on July 29th. Looks like she made last minute plans to go to Africa, and needed to offload her tickets.
I really hope she doesn't go on a mansplaining tirade at a roadblock somewhere.
Now I am really feeling deceived by this guy. In both drone shots you can see he is with the motorcycle couple (Mike and Kim?). So, if Jason is operating the drone, where is his vehicle? Or am I just a moron and don't realize the drone footage was not taken in Africa?

You're not getting those shots without significant pre-planning and coordination. That tells me big portions of this are pre-planned and produced.

Emily cannot be filming because Africa boy does not list her in the credits. According to the credits it is all him and no one else.

drone footage is from the US, b/c it was taken before the decals were added to the hood. In his posts from Africa, the hood has "the road chose me" a compass rose, and an map of Africa.
The first shot in the video is of the Moroccan country or at least it looks like one of the photos he posted after he got there, before the olives.
Also the shots at the ferry are not from static cameras on a tripod. You can see that the the camera is moving towards the ferry, up and down as though someone is walking with it, and to the right side as it approaches the ferry. Someone was carrying that camera and moving forward with it. There is also panning of the camera as he drives past it on the ferry and you can tell he isn't paying attention to the camera so there is no way that he is controlling it's movement's via remote.
